Carlsbad, California, or more formally, Carlsbad by the Sea, is the once formerly sleepy town just south of Oceanside.  We say formerly because Carlsbad has become a world destination for tourists of all types. Businesses have also flocked to Carlsbad and in recent years, a number of resorts have been built here. LegoLand has become a feature attraction for many tourists.  Of course, the area is dominated by the beauty of it’s water: the beaches and lagoons.  The area also has a number of preserves and nature areas that have been reserved for hiking and nature walks.
